As a child Beatrix Potter had known a charming old Scottish country washerwoman called Kitty MacDonald. In The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle the heroine, Lucie, ...

Day 1

Today I would like you to read or listen to Mrs Tiggy-Winkle by Beatrix Potter. Afterwards I would like to think of the main points of the story and use the sheet to write them down. You will need to think of the setting, characters and the main parts of the story.

Guided Reading

Sticking with a hedgehog theme in honour of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle this week we will be finding out about hibernating animals. First of all there is a story called "Don't hog the hedge". Then there is an information PowerPoint about all of the animals in the story. The last but not least there is an activity where you place the animals in the correct category.

This week we are looking at caring for animals using a story from Buddhism. After you have looked at the presentation you can complete the caring for animals worksheet. Just pick one to do.

* = Mild

**= Medium

***= Hot

This week is all about Victorian homes. Some of you might live in a Victorian house now but I am sure it looks a bit different on the inside. Once you have seen the slides there is a question sheet for you to do, there are also instructions on how to make a paper house if you would like to make one.

Only do Worksheet 4A (Mild/Medium) or 4B (Hot).

This week you are learning to reorder slides and present. If you have not made a presentation yet I have put one here, but it is out of order. Can you fix it?

Don't forget if you have made a presentation, please send it to me, I would love to know what you have created.
