Week Beginning 20.4.20

This week's handwriting focus is sh and es. It is quite tricky and will take some practise. I suggest focusing on the red version as the green joins were written while I was trying to film, so they need a bit of improving! The video is on the Class 2 Facebook page.

Below are two sheets for you to use to practise this join, just like the ones we stuck in your books before we left.

This week we will be focusing a lot on spelling and vocabulary using our Jack and The Beanstalk story. We will be looking at adding prefixes and suffixes to create descriptive words. Next week we will be using these to write Jack and The Beanstalk in our own words.

I've tried to be clever and add my voice to the PowerPoint in places. Let me know if it works or if you would like it in another format.

The sound should work if you open up the PowerPoints on a laptop and view as a presentation. If that is not possible the words are on the slides anyway. You will only miss me tripping over my words as I read it.smiley

Guided Reading

We have moved away from algorithms now but you can still use Scratch when you want to. This term you will need Microsoft Paint. If you don't have this then there is a free app called Doodle Buddy for ipads or PicsArt for Android which are very similar. Basically any programme which allows you to draw on a computer will do.
