Tuesday

Phonics

Remember to keep practising sounds and story green words and speedy green words. You don’t have to do all at once, just the ones you need the most practise with.

Day 2 Hold a sentence this can be found in the grey box. Read the sentence to your child and ask them to repeat it and tell them how many words in the sentence. Again this must be completely independent.

Literacy

Listen to the story again. In the story they mentioned 4 different types of bee. Can you remember what they were and what their job was. Do you like honey? If you do, how do you like it? I like honey on my porridge and I also like to use it to sweeten my coffee.

Maths

I have put an instruction sheet on with what to do for your maths activity today. You need: a small counter each and a 1-6 dice. You can make and use number cards 1-6 if you don’t have a dice.

UtW/PD/EAD/PSED

Talk about the work done by bees as they fly from flower to flower collecting nectar to make honey. When do the children work hard? What about the adults they know? What jobs can children help with? (MFB ELGi; MR ELGiii)

Play a simple version of the pollination game, instructions and flower sheet attached.

Reading

Billy Dogs Gruff - You should be able to read lots of these words (this can be read throughout the week). Should develop confidence and fluency.
