Thursday

Phonics

Today you need to watch the PowerPoint that I put on and practise all the sounds. Continue to use the set 2 stretchy sounds booklet. This week we are concentrating only on the oo sound. In the booklet work through pages 15-16.

Literacy

Today we are going to think about Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len. These are the two robbers who decided that they wanted to steal the ‘fine prize cow’ from the farm. Talk with your adult about the robbers what they looked like and what they were wearing. How would you describe them to someone who wanted to find them? Create a 'Wanted Poster' to tell people about the criminals and their crimes. Have a look at the picture below and talk about what they are wearing and what they look like. Just choose one of the charters to make a poster about.

Maths

Day 4 What the Ladybird heard. There is a variety of activities that can be completed in relation to the story. You don’t have to complete them all. Chose the ones you think are easier to complete at home.

UtW/PD/EAD/PSED

We are looking at the life cycle of the ladybird this week. We should be getting quite good at these now. We should now know that it goes around in a continuous cycle or circle.

Check out the Powerpoint.

Today we are going to make a ladybird life cycle hat. You need to print out just the pages you need to use, pages 3 and 4. Colour them in, again staying inside the lines. Now you need to get a large strip of paper wide enough to fit around your head, preferably red and stick your completed pictures on in the correct order.

Reading

Goldilocks - You should be able to read lots of these words (this can be read throughout the week). Should develop confidence and fluency.
