Take Away Task
Make your own book
Your task is to design and make a book of your choice. It could be a non-fiction book about a favourite subject or a story book - maybe a sequel to an already published book. It could even be comic!
At school we would have started to look at local authors in class; completed a factfile on one of them in groups and then I would have set this as the summer term's Take Away Task.
Below is an information sheet with links to authors that live nearby. Some of you will already know that we have a published author living in Heath and Reach. Louise has kindly put together a video clip and this is the first link on the sheet.
I have included a fact file sheet that you can use for one of these authors, or another author that you find out about who lives, or lived, locally.
Also there are some book templates that you could use, or there were instructions on how to make a mini book in last Wednesday's English plans. Equally feel free to create your own, these are just some examples.
I would really like the children to share their books with the class. More details on how we could do this will follow.
I found this on Twinkl and thought it was a nice idea and something that the children might like to do? These are just ideas - adapt as you wish.
