Phonics
Today you need to watch the PowerPoint that I put on and practise all the sounds. Continue to use the set 2 stretchy sounds booklet. This week we are concentrating only on the oo sound. In the booklet work through page 17.
Literacy
Work with your child to write a news report of the events. What do you think the farmer and the cops would say about what happened? Think about where it took place, who saw the crime happen and who called the police to report what was happening. Write a police report of the event.
Maths
Day 5 What the Ladybird heard. There is a variety of activities that can be completed in relation to the story. You don’t have to complete them all. Choose the ones you think are easier to complete at home.

Sorting animals
Look at the different animals that lived on the farm. Think about what is similar and what is different. Talk to your adult and how you could group your animals, e.g. legs, wings, beaks or tails. Adults try to avoid telling your child the most obvious answer to this sorting activity.
Reading
Goldilocks - You should be able to read lots of these words (this can be read throughout the week). Should develop confidence and fluency.
